Krafton has released the Battlegrounds Mobile India beta release for pre-registered users on Android. The game is yet to see its official release date in India. Krafton is expected to announce the BGMI release date for iOS and Android in the coming days. While we wait for that, a new report might attract some controversy for the PUBG Mobile developer. According to a new report, data from BGMI is being sent to servers in China’s Beijing. An IGN India report, citing its sources, stated that the data is sent to Tencent-run Proxima Beta in Hong Kong, as well as Microsoft Azure servers located in the US, Mumbai, and Moscow. The publication claims to have confirmed the inputs from its sources by cross-checking it using a data packet sniffer app. It was found that one of the servers was run by China Mobile Communications Corporation located in Beijing. Other servers spotted include QCloud and AntiCheat Expert, both of which are Tencent’s servers.

The data being sent to China also included the user’s device data. Krafton’s new Battlegrounds Mobile India terms of service state that the personal information of players will be stored and processed in Indian servers. That being said, the new terms also state that the company may “transfer your data to other countries” in order to meet “legal requirements”. PUBG Mobile was banned last year in India due to data security concerns. Krafton, at the time, told that it is working closely with the Indian government to adhere to the local laws. It also announced that it had cut its publishing ties with Tencent in India to relaunch the game. The new report could be a cause of concern for Krafton. This comes after several political leaders demanded a ban on the PUBG Mobile alternative in India. Recently, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) wrote a letter to the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology  (MeitY), stating that BGMI is a threat to the security of Indians.

Not Seen Any China Server, While We're Testing. 👍🪂

STAY TUNED👍💓
